Instal the new Finding Nemo3/4/2024 ![]() Ellen DeGeneres again brings the laughs as Dory – most notably when she very nearly teaches a sex ed. Finally, we met an endearing beluga whale called Bailey, who is voiced by another Modern Family star – Ty Burrell – and seems like something of a hypochondriac, though unfortunately we didn't get to spend much time with him before the footage ended. There’s also a pair of laid-back sea-lions who are voiced by Dominic West and Idris Elba, making their brief-but-hilarious scene something of a Wire reunion one that had us hoping they return later in the film. As voiced by Modern Family star Ed O’Neill, he’s a marvellously cantankerous creation, while his camouflage abilities are the source of much mirth. The stand-out is probably Hank, a grumpy octopus who is desperate to escape from the MLI. That journey takes her to California’s Marine Life Institute and, as with Finding Nemo, brings her into contact with all manner of weird and wonderful sea-creatures, some of whom we met first time around others who are new but no-less-lovable. Then, mercifully, we’re back to the fun stuff, the film revolving around an underwater adventure triggered by Dory suddenly remembering that she has a family, and embarking on a quest to find them. But what we will say is that Finding Dory’s early moments pack a punch as emotional as their predecessor. ![]() Unfortunately the scenes we most want to tell you about – which take place during the film’s first five minutes – are strictly out-of-bounds, with Pixar’s head honchos swearing us to secrecy about details they want to keep under wraps, which is perfectly understandable.
